We had a wonderful weekend at Hang Fire! The house has amazing entertaining space for friends or family, is clean and cozy and the kitchen is fully stocked. I wish we could have spent more time enjoying everything the property has to offer! It is also close to several wedding venues, wineries/distilleries/breweries and a local olive oil producer. We can’t wait to make another trip and explore more of the hill country and take in the views from the porch at Hang Fire!

The Hang Fire house and property is an oasis, simply put. It’s far enough from town to give you that peaceful isolated feeling, but it’s proximity to Dripping Springs is rather convenient for grocery/beer runs – best of both worlds! The pool is so amazing, we barely got out of it, and the view from the pool is amazing as well. We spent a day visiting the many wineries nearby which was also lovely. The house itself is spacious, clean, and comfortable. We had plenty of room for our large group. The kitchen is huge and updated, that was great! Altogether 5 stars! Highly recommend.

Our stay was restful. We loved the house decor with the Texas theme. We came as part of a family gathering and everyone had their own space. The kitchen and dining room work well for a large family. The bedrooms are on different sides of the house so it offers privacy. We felt safe despite being more inland than most homes. We’d go again in a heartbeat.

Sure Shot is amazing! Just far enough away from the city to give you a secluded get-away, but close enough to plenty of wedding venues and the Pedernales State Park. This house is perfect for a large group with plenty of beds and space for everyone. I can’t wait to go back.

Great vacation for family getaway of two adults and three young boys, loved the view and peaceful surroundings. Pool, hot tub, and outdoor grill are perfect for relaxing!

We enjoyed staying in this house while attending a wedding in Dripping Springs. The house has wonderful spaces for sleeping and for having fun. We had plenty of room for six adults and enjoyed the pool table as well as the swimming pool. The kitchen was well-equipped and great for preparing meals. The house is a little worn around the edges, but that’s the only criticism I have. The views from the backyard are lovely!

The house was just what we needed for our vacation! Beautiful pool and serene setting. Unfortunately the real estate company the owner uses is less than be desired!!! She misquoted us prices and was very delayed in responding to emails if she even responded at all. Plus had us in panic when she would not respond just before our flights to Texas, we had to call Homeaway to find out what to do if she doesn’t respond with code for property. Thankfully for us the home owner himself was in town and we met him when checking into the house. He was very helpful and responded very quickly when we had a problem arise.

We loved our stay at Hang Fire. The view is amazing and we loved everything about the house. Book this spot now! The house was a perfect get away. The ammenties were spot on. However, the only response I received was with check-in details. I had questions about kitchen items (pre-trip), inquired about flashlights when the power was out for near an hour, as well as tried to track down a precious necklace that my friend accidently left in the closet. I was completely ignored. I literally had to email 4-5 times about the necklace to get any response for my upset friend. Not how I like to do business and it soured my trip memories. If that part could be fixed, it would have been a glowing review.

Thanks for the feedback and sorry you didn’t hear back about the kitchen! For everyone, the kitchen is fully equipped, griddle, four gas burners, double ovens, plenty of cookware, dishes, cutlery, spices and tools! Perfect for big family dinners!

We would stay here again, it was very comfortable, clean and the property owner/manager responded quickly when the Texas weather caused our power to be off. The water pressure and showers were great. Beds clean and comfortable. The only suggestion I would make is a set of instructions on how to access the Direct TV network for people like us who don’t have a dish. Wendy, we had some beers and stuff leftover from the reception for you, custodian or future guests to enjoy!! Would stay here again, the mornings are quiet and enjoyed sitting on the covered patio with coffee in hand!!

My friends and I enjoyed the beautiful property and outside patio area. The space was decorated beautifully and we had plenty of space for all of us. It was secluded and private, yet still easily accessible to nearby wineries. When we first arrived, we were excited to use the main hot tub. Unfortunately, the heat wasn’t working and despite numerous calls to Texas Hills Lodging and the maintenance team, we received no support or updates with communication on this issue. We’re grateful to have been able to use the guest house hot tub, but definitely disappointed by the lack of customer service and communication.

We are happy that you enjoyed the majority of your time at Hacienda Hangfire. We did talk with you several times during your stay about one of the two hot tubs not heating during your stay. The issue was that the motor had burnt up and it required a hot tub technician (the repair required parts and skills that were outside of our maintenance staffs expertise). We called and left messages for 3 separate local hot tub repair services that weekend. However with that being Good Friday & Easter weekend, we could not get anyone to go out to the home until Monday. It was fortunate that you did still have 1 working hot tub during your stay (as there are 2 hot tubs at this property). However I know it is incredibly frustrating that you did not have all of the amenities advertised in good working order. I am very, very sorry for the inconvenience and I do greatly apologize from the bottom of my heart.

Overall, our experience and stay at this place was just wonderful! I really have no complaints at all, just some good info for future stayers. It says to bring your own spices and towels but those were all in the house.. About 10 beach towels were there, I would say. It was pet friendly, which was awesome. The backyard is gated but not enclosed. It was really relaxing with the pool, which was the perfect temp! A little cold for some but we are from WA state and it felt perfect in the hot weather. When you check into the place, the key is in a lock box hanging on door – super easy! I would recommend this place. We had 7 staying there and we all got our own beds (couples shared) and it was very spacious.

Nice getaway! Even with misty rain during our stay, we found peace and beauty inside and out! Truly appreciate the owners willingness to share this beautiful and comfortable property!

We stayed at the property in the middle of summer after a day of visiting local breweries, a winery, and an olive oil company around Dripping Springs. The property is convenient to numerous tourist spots but the house is exceptionally private. When you get “home”, you can really unwind. We enjoyed the pool and ate dinner outside. Even though it was the middle of July, the evenings and mornings were cool or chilly. I’ve already recommended this property to friends and family, but honestly, I can’t wait to go back myself.
